My D received her notification letter yesterday for the McKesson National Merit. $1000/yr renewable. I had a feeling when I applied for that with my company that she would get that version. Makes sense for them to match people up to get the most coverage. Every $ counts!

Right, that’s what I see, too, but I am pretty sure it means my son didn’t get it. Other people have heard by now. My oldest son, who won a Corporate, got his notification by just about now (letter was dated March 16th, so it probably arrived to us by the 18th). Then again, his wasn’t a Special Corporate, which is what this son is going for. Still, this son isn’t a tippy top applicant, so we weren’t really expecting it.

Our snail mail letter was dated March 13 and that is also the date the portal was updated. You had a link to click on which took you to the same letter that came in the mail.
We are hoping for UPS Corporate. Has anyone actually received their offer from UPS? sbjdorlo, have you heard of anyone who has received their UPS award?
I have not, @remom01. I was just assuming my son didn’t get it. Here’s hoping they’re just slower than the rest of the corporations and that our kids both get it! 
I called NMSC last week and asked about procedures. The guy said that awards would be posted depending on the Corporation and their deadlines. He did indicate that the 1st posts were already up. He also said each applicant would receive a denial letter in May if he/she is not awarded a scholarship. He indicated that if the student is an alternate, he/she may not be told. Instead, the denial letters go out after all awards are accepted to leave the alternates on the potential list in the event that an awardee does not or is ineligible to accept the offer. All primary award letters and notifications should be posted well before the official announcement of Corporate scholarships on April 22, 2015. Fingers crossed…
Interesting. Well this son was up for a Special Award since he did not make the cut off in California for the regular award. In fact, we were extremely pleasantly surprised when he got a letter in Nov. telling him he was being considered. So really, it was nice to get that far, but I won’t hold my breath that he’ll get anything.
My oldest son’s Corporate Scholarship is the reason he’ll graduate debt-free (6K a year), so they are a big deal in our family, but this son just isn’t at that level of achievement.
This is my youngest daughter. (My older was not in the running so we are new to the process.) My youngling missed the NMS cutoff for TX by 1 pt at 217, so her # may not be high enough as compared to others across the country that are in the running for the Corporate UPS scholarships. But, she’ll keep checking to see if she receives one, and I’ll keep checking this thread to see if anyone posts receipt of a UPS corporate award. Thanks for the information and insight.
Oh, so your daugher is also going for the Special Corporate from UPS? Cool! My son’s PSAT was 215 in California, so definitely not high enough for NMF. His SAT was 2230, which would have been high enough, but that’s the way it goes. My oldest was a super high achiever, but it was still so surprising and great that he got the Corporate.

My S got $1K Corporate NMF Scholarship. Does this mean we cannot get any any free money related to NMF that the enrolled college gives us? However acceptance DEADLINE to this $1K Corporate Scholarship is Mar 27th 2015, which is too early to know what colleges we got accepted and which one we will enroll!!! So we assumed that we should accept this $1K Corporate NMF Scholarship. Are we correct?
You can only receive one official NMF scholarship, so you should accept. Large scholarships offered by many colleges for NMF are not official awards and can be received in addition to the corporate award.

For those wondering about the corporate SPECIAL scholarships, those have not gone out of the NMC door yet. Those will go out as they get to each one of them, but not in any particular order or keeping a specific date in mind. The expectation is to award all of them by the end of April. For those getting one, the award letter will be mailed to home and uploaded to the OSA application website at noon. This is what I got from an NMC officer.
I just wanted to add that NMC will work on about 200 different SPECIAL scholarships, so it may take them one more month to finalize.
