Any COSMOS alumni that can give me advice?

Hey, if there are any COSMOS (a CA summer math and science program) out there, it would be much appreciated to have these questions answered:

What was the program like (experience)?
Was the curriculum good?
How was the rigor of the projects and lectures?
What did you take from the program that you applied later in life?

Thanks. I think I will participate this summer at either UCI or UCSC in the astronomy and astrophysics clusters. If there are people who did those clusters, please tell me what they were like.

anyone want to give their input? I'm sure there are some people who did COSMOS here.

come on, no one here attended COSMOS and can give me anything?

haha, i went to COSMOS last year UCI-astro
Well, i thought the program wasfantastic . and if you're going before senior year then you should definitely work hard on your apps for COSMOS. the scholarship opportunities are amazing (and they look at your GPA, extracurrics, etc from your app). a bunch of people got $1000+ scholarships, possibly up to 10,000.
Curriculum for astrophysics was good for me (without any physics background). however if you've taken AP physics, or are involved in any science teams, it might be too easy.
The stuff I learned from the class helped me with some academic team tryouts..thats all so far, not really in AP classes. I'm probably going to rely on that when we (Phys C) do astro after APs.
the people you meet are just AMAZING. and the RAs & Professors are really helpful.

if you have any other questions you can PM me :)

whoo! a response! i just sent you a PM. Thanks for all the info.
