Any CTYers?

I did JHU’s CTY program for the four years I could take it. I did two years at the actual campus, and two years somewhere else. Since I was in the CTY program, they sent me a half-filled application form online.

Does being in CTY help my chances AT ALL? I’m not stupid, but my SAT scores aren’t exactly up there (670V 570 M 550W) and in no shape or form was I considering Hopkins. Until this e-mail. Now I’m curious.

I want to be in nursing, if that helps any.

So yeah, be brutally honest and tell me I have no chance, if you want to. I know my scores aren’t up there, I’d be lying to myself if I thought they were. I just wanted to know if JHU was sending partially filled apps to all CTYers.

Thanks.

I got a partially-filled application, and I was never a part of CTY. But I am sure your participation will help.. it definitely shows interest for one thing.

Yes, you have a chance.

I won't explain why. Let's just say that so long as you have greater than a 3.5 GPA, you keep in touch with admissions (and I mean make your name be known to your representative), and make sure your essays are thoughtful and insightful about you, and how you will benefit the Hopkins environment, you have a shot.

Goodluck.

yeah,

you already have established a connection with them and as a hopkins undergrad... i know that we have excellent resources..and the nursing school is great....once again let me make it clear NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK!!
