Question about CTY & JHU!

<p>I recently submitted a piece of writing to the CTY's Creative Writing contest. I know it sucks compared to other participants', but I just want to try for fun. My work is (perhaps) decent, but it's nothing compared to the winning essays.
Now, I'm preparing to apply to JHU.</p>

<p>My question is - will this in any way affect my application negatively? Will the officers dig up my entry to the contest and be, like: 'Oh, wow. The stupid participant is applying to the university? Let's just toss this guy into the reject pile.' ??</p>

<p>With the large number of applications each admissions counselor has to read, they aren’t about to go digging for a CTY essay.</p>
