So I did not have room for AP Biology in my schedule this year, and I'm a little worried about not having previous AP courses in science before I attend U of M next fall. Are the courses that non-APers(definitely not a word..)take similar to the science course that a an APer will take their freshman year at U of M?---or will the difficulty be considerably higher? Should I consider taking some sort of college science course this summer (ughh)?

are u serious?? u are trying to compare a REGULAR high school science course, not even AP, to a science course at Michigan???

I think u get my point.

I’m guessing an “APer” will likely place in a harder class while you’ll be in an intro class. I see no reason why you would want to take college courses unless you want to transfer credits.

I would agree with Yosup. The AP class is generally comparable to a college introductory class. Calculus AB would be like Math 115 so someone with AP credit could move on to Math 116 and someone without the AP would take Math 115.

No MI2014, I was comparing a highschool AP science course to a Michigan science course, not a REGULAR high school science course.
