Hi everyone. I'm was deferred Ed and I haven't heard back yet. Is there a chance that I could be accepted later this week/month? At first I thought it was because I'm on the west coast but I read someone in LA got a letter today.

Is anyone else waiting to hear back from ilr?

Casablanca do you mind me asking what your stats were? SAT"s over 2200 or 2250? and what was your GPA. Just wondering? and also CONGRATS you should be thrilled!

From what I see from last year, people received more notification on the 18th… Which is probably the 16th this year. I don’t know if this is just for Hotellies, but on CC there weren’t any ILR acceptances then.

when i called they said they sent out acceptance this past friday(march 2nd) and the rest of the decisions will not be until March 29th. They did not tell me that there will be anything in between these dates. I just feel this is a cruel way for the committee to do things. especially for those who applied Early Decision and really wanted to go to Cornell and where deferred and they still have to wait till end of March when certain kids applied regular and already got their acceptances. Just not a well thought out process.

I think judging by last year’s CC results, the admissions are sent out in waves. As in, this was the first small wave. Judging by last year, the next small wave would be somewhere around the 18th (a Sunday this year). So maybe the 16th or 19th? I am only speculating. Keep in mind that a majority of the acceptances are given on the 29th with the rest of the private colleges within Cornell.

Like I said, I called Admissions and they told me that even deferred applicants can receive acceptances on the 29th… so that gives me hope!

I think it looked like waves because the international students heard back weeks after the original March 1st decision was sent back, unfortunately. Even though I wish it were true.
