Any Dodmerb experts here?

Hello everyone,

I really don't know why, but my blood pressure has significantly changed in the last few years, (Im of average body build, no history of heart problems, I keep in shape etc) I'm afraid that perhaps it could interfere with my chance of entering usma. Anyone know any information about this? Does usma do waivers for those who are a little high, or do people in my situation end up disqualified? What is the max limit? Thanks.

My own two cents - get your physical, see what dodmerb says and take it from there. One suggestion - complete your medical history accurately, if you can't remember then get a copy of your medical records and take the info from that.

Worst case scenario: I need to find out if it is waiverable.

probably depends on how high your blood pressure is. How high is it? Do you take medication for it?

There are entire threads on the whole Dodmerb thing, you will probably get a faster reply there (as previously suggested) since more people with that type of specific knowledge post there.

My results have varied greatly, but I fear the worst

At my local fitness center, I used a very sophisticated machine, and it read at a nice rate of

105/70

I believe that it read so low because I had finished running on the treadmill; therefore, it read much lower than my normal state.

I did it yesterday twice on a home machine... and it read

136/70

and 144/70

Its now 8:40. and to my dismay I got a reading of

150/70

bummer.

how can you be certain that the home machine is accurate? has anyone else used it whose b/p is stable and known?

Hellllooooooooooooo?????

My younger sister got a 120/70. Shes 12 years old.. and I think that reads as a fairly accurate.. "normal" reading. Even my parents are getting "normal results".. well my dad is I think 130/70... but that is still normal. I'm going to take another reading right now...

It reads: 136/77

I am not a doctor or nurse, but 120/70 sounds high for a normal 12 year old.

Got my dodmerb packet today. Looks like I'm going to have an appointment with Dr. Adolf Eichmann.
