I'm a visual learner. I tried making flashcards (Already done, thanks to Barron), doing sentences (Not my favorite thing to do), and drawing. Any other suggestions of learning them!?

Try writing a word then drawing a picture that helps you think of the meaning!

^ Been there, done that.

Hhhhmmm, well I am mostly visual and I do well with flashcards as long as I look at them every once and awhile. What I do, I hope this helps, is I learn the word, then I think of sentences to help memorize them and then throughout the day, when I’m talking to myself or others, I try to apply those words to whatever I am talking about. Also, reading articles or books with those words present in them helps.

If this is no good, you can use mnemonics. I’ll use an example; Say I want to memorize the word capricious. Capricious means unpredicatable. Now, what you could do is picture a CAP with a PRICE tag on it and as you look at the price tag, the numbers keep changing. One second it is $5 then suddenly it becomes $20. The numbers are litterally changing on the tag! It is unpredictable!

Okay, that may seem like a sh***y example but picture something relating to that word, doing something ridiculous. It’s a helpful way to remember it. If you picture a CONvict lighting a FLAG on fire and it turns into a forest fire, that may help you remember the word “Conflagration”. Just a thought. Hope it helps

In my opinion, the best way to learn a word is to make a humorous connection. I called my chemistry teacher whimsical and I never forgot the meaning since. It means very weird and basing everything by chance, SEE I remember it! Just try to make jokes out of the SAT words, you remember something humorous better than if it’s serious.

Hmmm ok. Thanks.
