<p>I was wondering if anyone has experience renting textbooks from Chegg, and how long it took them to receive their books in the mail? I ordered about five books from them today and chose standard shipping, which is supposed to be 5-8 business days. Chegg estimated that I would receive the books on the eighth business day. Does it really take them this long to ship? The reason I'm anxious about this is because I'm leaving for college on the seventh business day (I know I should have ordered them earlier), and it would be a stressful hassle if they arrived at my house when I'm five hours away at college.</p>

<p>I used it and it worked great. One of my hs teachers told me he used it for his college daughter. I used it for a math class I was taking at CC. I got it really fast and they sent a box to return it in. I ordered mine after the fall rush (our CC didn’t start until the end of Sept) so I don’t know if that is why I got mine in a couple of days.</p>
<p>I used it for one book last semester. It got here pretty fast. </p>
<p>I didnt use it second semester and I don’t think i’ll use it again though because I can spend less overall if I sell my books. I’m also getting to the point where I’d like to hang on to a lot of my books</p>
<p>Shipping depends on where you are in relation to the warehouse they’re sending your book from. I did receive mine before their estimated date, though. I’ve ordered from Chegg several times and I’m very happy with their service.</p>
<p>chegg is solid, although their shipping is not the fastest, only bad thing about them.</p>
<p>I’ve used Chegg and my book got there lickety split. Like less than 2 days. It obviously depends on how far you are from Santa Clara (I live on the West Coast), but I think my book was from a warehouse in Kentucky or something.</p>
<p>Either way, I highly recommend. Caveat: Get the book back to UPS two days early, not the day of.</p>
<p>I’ve used Chegg for almost two years. I’ve never had any issues with shipment or quality. My texts have always arrived on time. It’s definitely a reliable company to order and/or rent texts from. And, depending on how much your order totals, Chegg plants a tree for you - totally not kidding!</p>
<p>Correction: Chegg will plant a tree for you for every text you order.</p>
<p>@lilkdub, they postmark your package so even if you send it the day it’s due, they don’t charge you for sending it late. No worries :)</p>
<p>I love Chegg! I’ve been using them for 2 semesters…great service!They sent me the textbooks really quickly. I had the textbooks within a couple of days.</p>
<p>I’ve used Chegg before, and like Sparkles21 said, it does depend on where the warehouse is. However, I’ve stuck with BookRenter for the past year because they always get me my books without any issues and offer much lower prices than Chegg does. According to their site, you can save up to 80% off. I know you’ve already ordered your books, but just letting you know that there are other options for the future

<p>I used to rent, both from Chegg and Bookrenter, but in recent years have noticed that their rental rates (both of them) haven’t provided the same level of savings as they did when I first started renting. Perhaps its a seasonal thing, but what is often the case, a semester’s rental fee will be within $30 of the new purchase price.</p>
<p>Buying the textbooks gives you other options when it comes to reselling it.</p>
<p>Then again, you can’t go wrong with their free return shipping or flexible money back return period.</p>
<p>Have you considered renting textbooks from students on your campus?</p>
