Well I've been looking around for chegg reviews because their prices are amazing. So far most of them have been pretty bad, like slow shipping, they shipped the wrong book, etc. So please post your review of them here! I ordered two books from them last weekend, and have no tracking information for one of them, but the other book is being shipped by usps and they are not very good with tracking information. So anyways, let us know, thanks.

I ordered one from them last summer. It was super slow (took almost 3 weeks to get here) but the prices couldn’t be beat. However, I had to constantly borrow textbooks for those first few weeks because it was so slow. I will never order through them again simply because it’s not worth the hassle.

I did Chegg a while back.

I had no problem with shipping but the books I got were really beat-up. I had to be extra careful with them since I didn’t want them to fall apart.

While I think renting is a decent idea, I feel like Chegg is expensive enough that you’re better off buying the book yourself and then reselling it, as you can usually recover most of what you paid, or even make a profit.

I ordered two textbooks from Chegg this semester. Both are in decent condition but definitely look used. The shipping was fast; they came within 5 days of my placing my order.

I’ve never had problems with Chegg, in fact I’ve been nothing but thrilled with the service.

I’ve never had issues with Chegg either. Cheap books (book was new, so no used ones), and fast shipping.

Hmm… I will have to try them again then. Perhaps it was slow because it was a summer term? (I probably won’t need any more textbooks for the rest of college, but I’ll keep this in mind).

daughter is using Chegg for the second time this semester; saved a fortune…2-3 day shipping timeframe…

i tried them this semester for the religion class i’m taking here at Wooster, and they were great. i chose the free shipping, ordered on…the 8th or something, and they were here by the 13th. one book i think is actually brand new, and the other one is obviously used, but still in pretty good condition. they provided tracking information for both books/one order, so perhaps that’s why you only have one tracking number for yours, OP.

overall, i’m very satisfied and will most likely use them again very soon. i have a discount code if anyone is looking to use Chegg, so send me a PM :)

We love using Chegg to rent texts. I wanted to share a promotional code for a discount on your text order. Put in the code when ordering and hit the “apply” button. The code also gives you back an additional $5 when selling Chegg your used texts.

The code does NOT have an expiration date so it can be used every time you order. Here it is:

CC123047

Feel free to pass this code to others to save money.

I know 5 people who rented from Chegg. Each had a positive experience. Books came on time to their PO box here at school in the condition as stated online.

Personally, for this semester, I found it was cheaper to buy books. The books I bought (all used) were $20 cheaper than what I would have to pay to rent through Chegg. And, in addition, I will get at least (hopefully) $10 back when I sell them at the end of the semester.

I will try Chegg next semester, however, if cheaper than if I were to buy them.

I’m with the rest of you. I’m willing to wait for my books to get here to save dropping a ton of money at the bookstore. I can put up with a little highlighting in my books anyway.

Of course you can always look for ebook versions of some texts as well and not pay a dime.

I look up reviews for books online before making any purchases.

If the book sucks or the class isn’t relevant to my major, I use chegg so I can return it. If it doesn’t, I’ll buy the international edition.

Chegg hasn’t screwed up on me at all so far and I’ve had 6-7 books from them?

i have used chegg for about 3 semesters now and I have had no problems with them. I also use the couons which come in handy…i have used this one to both rent and sell my books on chegg…when I rent i save 11% off and when I sell to chegg i get an extra $5 CC127509 chegg rocks!!!

Been using chegg for the past two years with no problem. Sometimes the books are a bit beat up, but they still work, and it’s cheap!

My Daughter dropped her books of at the Campus UPS center as required. The requirement ws that the books has to be in UPS’ hands by end of day December 17, 2010 for return. On December 18 th, Chegg debited her account $268 on the December 18 th. thus causing an over draft. I called customer service and Chegg claimed UPS did not recieve them. Iasked them to log into her account where is celarly stated “Thank you for returing your books ontime”. They quickly changed thier story and blamed it on UPS. Now… I think if the student had not returned her books as required she should be billed. However she did and thier site clearly indicated she did so I’m not sure what triggers their billing which nust occur just after midnight of the deadline. Students and Parents should be very aware and thuroughly research these online companies.

Interesting, as I’ve had books be a week “late” (I returned just before Christmas & got delayed due to the holiday) and wasn’t billed. Maybe they’ve changed their policy.

Chegg is supposed to be pretty fast. It’s free shipping, and popular. And about the week late experience, there’s a 15-day grace period apparently.

Source (look at the bottom for “Chegg” details): [Should You Rent or Buy Textbooks](http://hubpages.com/hub/Should-You-Rent-or-Buy-Textbooks)

My Chegg experience was short, but good. My book came in about a week I think. It was for a 3 week summer class while they had a 30 day money back for any reason thing happening, so I returned it after I was done and got my money back. =]
I do know that my friend ordered from them once though and they didn’t include a disc that she paid for.
