Ne Ghanaians In Da HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUSE???

This Ghanaian is!! :) We are a minority though. Most African and first generation kids are from Nigeria. That's going to be new for me because in my area Ghanaians usually outnumber Nigerians.

hey guys, sorry im not Ghanaian but i am Nigerian
im not going to duke but I intend on applying there next year when im a senior in high school

Just wanted to throw out that I know at least one faculty member from Ghana - Dr. Fred Boadu.

Dr. Boadu is cool. I met him during the BSAI weekend. There is another Ghanaian faculty member from Ghana but I have not met her.

Wow...(relief)... u know i was just starting to live with the thought of being the only gh-ain on campus. Sounds to me like you're in the states already. If u are wen did u get there? And wat's the BSAI weekend u mentioned?

You are an international student? Actually, I was born in the USA- my parents came from Ghana in the 80s. BSAI- Black Student Alliance Invitational- was a weekend in late March (before the RD decisions officially came out) where some of the black applicants were invited to Duke and got to stay in the dorms, visit classes meet faculty, etc. On the first night, they told the kids invited that they had gotten into Duke. It was fun.

But not all the accepted black kids were invited to BSAI- I know a couple of people like that.

There are actually quite a few Ghanian- Americans on campus and I personally know 2 juniors who are straight from Ghana

what kinda stats do the ghanians that got accepted to duke have?
