Any good schools still accepting apps? Btw, what's rolling admisssions?

I don't really know what rolling admissions means but I think it's something like 1st some 1st serve. Some good schools that I know are still accepting apps are the University of Minnesota-twin cities,UNC-chappel Hill,Purdue, and the university of Indiana

Look at www.tcnj.edu App deadline is 2/15

Public school top ranked in Norhteast. Stats of admitted students are pretty good. Nice looking campus and building. Mid-sized.

My D could get full tuition merit aid there. But she doesn't want to go to NJ (I'm in MA). For her, money grows on that tree in the backyard and is NOT a cosideration for where to apply. Sadly for her, she'll be in for a rude shock when final decisions need to be made in a month or so. I supposed I should blame myself for raising such a self-centered child.

My son just received a postcard that Westmont (Christian college in So Cal) is accepting apps until 2/15.

TCNJ is a top school. It was put in the 'Most Selective' category recently (not sure if this was for undergrad or for their masters programs). They have a 7 year BS/MD Program with University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. I graduated from TCNJ in August, feel free to ask me any questions, or you can PM or email me if you prefer. :) I got my BA in Psychology but am applying to post-bac premed programs, to get the pre-reqs for med school (didn't have time to get them as an undergrad). TCNJ is also considered one of the best values in the country, by Barrons. It's a gorgeous campus, and is not far from Princeton. It's also just an hour by train to NYC or Philadelphia.

i wuz recently accepted 2 TCNJ... YAY

Beth,

Whats the on-campus housing situation at TCNJ? Thought I saw on the web site that they only guarantee housing to freshmen, then it's lottery after that. Are many Sophmores-Seniors turned away from on-campus housing. If so, whats the apartment situation in the area, good availability?

TIA,
Foo

how much do they pay you, Beth?

not to unhijack the thread, but are there any other high-ranked schools that are still taking apps?

I can't say much about the housing, because I lived at home and commuted. (I actually transferred to TCNJ after my freshman year). However, there is a lot of housing nearby, in Ewing and Trenton, and Lawrenceville (where Rider is). You may have a 10-20 min commute if you prefer not to live in Ewing or Trenton, but it's still reasonably close. I live in Pennington/Hopewell area, which is only 5 miles from TCNJ.

And FYI, I am not paid a cent by TCNJ. I just am a recent graduate who felt I got a very good education at TCNJ, and wanted to encourage other students to consider it. To say I am lying or stretching the truth because I am paid to do so is insulting - I'm not employed by TCNJ or paid anything. I'm working part-time as a nanny and applying to post-bac premed programs to get the pre-requisites for med school.

Beth

rolling admissions, if pacific_fleet you are still curious about-- means that there is no final deadline for everyone to apply, its continuous based on space. i think its normally a 2 week response time to applicants.
