Any hope for me?

I've been at my current JC for the past 5 years, and I have a IMO pathetically low 2.56 GPA and nearly 100+ units. With that said, I can get into the local CSUs such as SF State, SJSU, or East Bay but I don't want to since I'm afraid I'll get a crappy job after graduating and getting into grad school later on in life will be a uphill challenge as well. And the fact that the schools I've mentioned above are big time commuter schools, I'll also be missing out on the whole college experience.

However, I feel that my 5 years at the community college level was more fulfilling than my high school years, I acutally learned more now than in HS. I feel it's time for me to move on, but the choices I have are crappy choices I don't want to exercise. I have completed almost all the IGETC coursework and my major will be business. I've posted about this before, but I'm afraid the law of diminishing returns has hit me.

Is there anything I can do about my situation, I feel like giving up just because of this.

The good thing is your GPA will start anew when you transfer. If you work hard at a CSU, you have a chance at a good MBA program in a few years. That will level the playing field and enable you to compete for good jobs. So bite the bullet and choose one you can be kind of happy at and go there and develop some good business skills. Also, maybe you have a shot at Riverside? Does Merced have business classes yet?

Another option, if you can afford it, is going the private school route. We're not talking a top one, but some of the privates have good alumni networks which help with jobs upon graduation.

I may have a shot at Riverside, it seems like a half-way decent place from the digital POV, but I need to visit them in person.

Merced doesn't have business and it's a little landlocked, of course Riverside is too but LA/OC is within reach.
