i spent several yrs at a CSU, did okay the 1st year, had some issues and ended up on probation w/ a 1.85 era...then decided to go to a CCC and get my grades up..finished up my lowr division GE this past semester...my last 30+ units w/ over a 3.60 gpa...problem is my overall gpa isnt that great over 2.50..basically had to get mostly A's to get it in that decent range...i plan to transfer as an uper division student..so i probably have no chance at the lower UC's? i applied to CSU's, got in everyone so far..except still waiting to here back from Long Beach and Fullerton...got into Sonoma, CSUN, Sacramento,CSUSB, SFSU...would my best alternative to settle for a CSU like Long Beach? my overall gpa isnt that great, but do admissions notice my improvement and take that into consideration...what other school might i have a chance at?

bump

I would suspect schools would take into consideration a positive trend, but make sure you detail those 'issues' that ruined your GPA initially.

Plus, if you've gotten into the CSUs, you should definetly apply for a few UCs, as you have many safties. I'm not very familiar with the UC system, so I can't recommend which, but I know you could probably get into at least one.

Best of luck :)
