<p>My D is an incoming student to Tech from China and she is not quite sure whehter to take GT1000 or not.
Any suggestions about GT1000 are highly appreciated.</p>
<p>If she is a Business Administration student, she is required to take the course 1st semester. If not, then I would suggest abstaining from the course. For non-BA majors it is typically considered busywork and will hardly affect her GPA (1 credit hour).</p>
<p>I opted not to take it because I saw my friends take it their first semester complaining about having to write a 1 page paper or something of the like every week for a 1-credit class. People say ‘easy A’ but it really isn’t worth your time to get 1 credit worth of an A if you’re going to graduate with ~130 credits factored toward your gpa. Spend that time socializing or getting a better grade in another course.</p>
