Does anyone (current students, past alumni, etc) have any information on the University of Arkansas?? My girlfriend and I would like to go to the same university and she is applying to Arkansas and it looks like a great place I was just wondering if anyone had any specific details as to why its good or why its bad. (and btw before you get all offensive saying you shouldnt go to the same university as your relationship partner, weve been dating for 4 years. sooo i think were in this for the long haul.)

I have known people in relationships that endured temporary separation due to college, graduate/professional school, or professional residency, so you should not feel as if you and your SO need to attend the same college.

Consider University of Arkansas based on how it fits you, your academic and professional goals, your cost constraints, how your credentials compare to its admissions selectivity, and your other preferences in a school. Your best fit school(s) may not necessarily be the same as those of your SO.

Arkansas is a fine school and has a tremendous following in the midwest and south. I don’t know specifically what you are wanting to know, but I’ve had several friends who attended and loved the school. I’d say the only small drawback would be that Fayetville is not particularly a ‘large city’ and as such most of the entertainment is found on campus itself. From an education standpoint, it has graduated a number of scholars. Let us know if you want to know about something specific.

To Stanatedj: Based on your friends perspectives or what you would believe to be their perspectives, What would you say makes Arkansas stand out from other midwestern schools such as OU and OSU. Oh and also, how would you say on a scale of 1-10 their selectiveness would be? (very selective as in not alot of applicants are actually accepted. that would be a 10 and wide open as in almost all get accepted which would be a 1)
