If anyone can tell me anything as far as their admissions go at UMD for out of staters.. that would be great.

SAT: V610 M640
GPA: unweighted cumulative 90 (not sure how you all calculate GPAs since many people do it differently)
weighted though its between 3.6 or 3.7
Ranking: About 22/203
Course Load: during all four years ive taken 15 honors class & 2 aps out of 26 classes in all excluding gym
ECs: Two varsity letters in tennis, a few clubs mostly having to do with writing, was editor for newspaper for a year, spanish and national honor society

my stats in case you wanna know..

i think you have a pretty good shot.. i visited there last spring and have a 1280, and like 3.45ish. I'm pretty sure i would get in there too, so I don't see a reason why you wouldn't too.

i would say a good chance of being admitted, but out of state is a little harder.

take the SAT I again, and if you do significantly better you might even get into scholars.

i am from maryland and i totally BS'ed my application in computer class. i got into honors and also gemstone, and a presidential scholarship, but then again i had slightly better scores than you did.. if you want to see my stats, go to my thread

Yeah I've been told that it is pretty hard for out of staters.. especially since Im not applying priority :/ I think it might be late for me to take SATs though. At this point I really dont know what else I can do to improve my chances besides writing a great essay. Thanks by the way :)

bump for no reason
