I am an international student currently studying at a small liberal arts college in Massachusetts with a decent financial aid. I am seriously thinking about transferring to USC, particularly at school of Cinematic Arts major in interactive media & game. The problem is, USC does not offer need-based financial aid to international students, and the school of CA states that they do not offer scholarships to new undergraduate students. My family could at most afford $20k/year, so financing is a serious problem for us. I will be eternally grateful if any current international students could tell me which scholarships we are eligible to apply and how difficult they are. I am a girl double major in computer science and film, sophomore, GPA range 3.6~4.0, love video games and hope to be a game designer. USC is definitely the best in this area. I know it's very competitive, and extremely hard for a transfer asking for money, but I just want some feedbacks and opinions from current students. Thanks!!

Typically the big scholarship are reserved for freshman admits. I would recommend calling the admissions office and asking what might be available for a transfer international student.

Transfer students are only eligible for a transfer student scholarship I believe, which is more of a token amount. There is a chart on USC’s website that has all the possible admission scholarships and their worth.
