Looking for an entry level position at a bank around my area and wondering if anyone here has some advice on the best places to apply, which positions to apply, and wages. (talking wells fargo, us bank, etc....not the goldman and morgan stanley type banks)

You mean an internship? College you go to? GPA?

Tell them you support the bailouts 100%

I work for a bank, but it’s extremely late if you’re looking for a summer job. A lot of banks higher floating summer tellers that often can get all-year positions, but those were full a long time ago - I got mine in early May and even that was late. Bank jobs open and close periodically, I can’t imagine that there’s any specific time that banks tend to lose people.

I’m currently doing a part-time internship, while looking to gain some exposure into the financial world. Aiming for temporary part-time work. I’m planning on moving in a couple months, so a position such as a teller would even fit the bill. There are a lot of part-time positions on my college’s website, so it seems like the positions are still there. I’m wondering what the work environment is like at the bank. Is the pay low for pt work, is the job stressful?
