Yo Im just looking at this feed and I’m in a similar boat as Draxula. I have a average GPA (3.3 UW) and low test scores with a 1480 (taking it again or ACT). UCF is definatly number one. My goal is to apply for summer, and WRITEfluidity you clearly give great advice, so what tips would you give me also in the application process and maybe how do I stack up so far. Im still a junior aiming for Summer 2013. Thanks this thread is really good, just want to keep the good information flowing good luck to everyone and GOD BLESS.

Hello. You should have no problem getting in. I also am on the same boat and want to attend for summer 2013. I would private message WRITEfluidity. You would have a higher chance of her replying. Good luck!

Thanks Draxula, best of luck to you this year!

@draxula did u get in?

I was definitely below most! I had a 3.0 GPA, only 1 AP class and no ECs until this year. I got a 27 on ACT and I think my essay really did most of the work (I explained the reasoning behind my low GPA and lack of ECs).
I applied in October, was deferred within 1-2 weeks and got accepted the beginning of December.
I was excited because UCF is my first choice! So for anyone else with below average numbers, just make sure that you put your all into the essay and if possible, explain what caused your low numbers.
