Big reach. You are well below the 25% on your SATs and about at 5% on your GPA.

so you think I can still get in?

There’s always a chance but I wouldn’t bet on it

This year I’m taking 8 AP classes (senior year)

That’s really impressive (not being sarcastic), but a very strong senior schedule will not make up for a low GPA and VERY low ACT…and the ECs don’t look too strong

I know but my teacher said that my GPA could go up to 6.0 and the only thing I have to do is get a good score on my ACT (december) … My ECs well I have being volunteering in hospitals with austistic people (I did my essay on it = ECs) …

I’m not saying that it couldn’t happen, and once again senior year grades aren’t nearly as important as 9-11, i’m just saying it isn’t likely. You should definitely apply because the world of college admissions are very unpredictable. But the data isn’t in your favor.

yeah I understand … thanks anyways !

No problem!! Go for it though, last year a girl from my school got into UT out of state with a 3.4 in no honors/ap and a 1710 on the SAT, UT OOS is very competitive and is normally 3.8 and 1950 or so, just goes to show you what can happen

I hope I GETTING IN … the thing that I hate is that I have to wait til Feb 12 …

anyone have anything say? the more comments the better…

Does anyone know someone who got in with a low SAT/ACT score?

???

???

A friend of mine had a 3.7 UW, 4.5 W, and a 1560/2400 SAT and she got accepted. If your school is a bad school with typically mediocre applicants, then you have a chance.[assuming instate] Alternatively, if you have a high class rank, that’ll help.

my class rank is 6% and is a tough high school most people the top 5% have like a 5.1 weighted GPA or better … hopefully by the end of january I’ll be in the top 5%

???

???

you have such an impressive GPA…why is SAT so low? I’m sure you can improve it with effort, and if you get that SAT down, UF is in the bag.
