Any news yet?

I’m still waiting to hear back, but I am beginning to get bad feelings. Maybe I am just overreacting. When did you audition and are you still waiting?

My daughter auditioned at the Chicago Unifieds…we have not heard anything yet.

D also auditioned in Chicago and has also still heard nothing. I choose to think it’s a good sign. In general, for a lot of schools, anyway, my understanding is that they let people know right away if they’re rejected. And they let some people know right away if they’re accepted. The rest they wait until they’re done auditioning everyone and make a decision then.

So I’m GUESSING that maybe you are all still “in the pool” and good news could still be on the way!

I auditioned in NYC. I’m just getting anxious because I have already been rejected from Ithaca, and PPU is my next top choice.

I just got a call from them on tuesday saying i got in, and my friend got a call yesterday. So I am assuming they are calling kids to accept them.

Mandamarie, when and where did you (and your friend) audition?

Also, don’t forget to post your acceptances in BOTH of these threads:

AND

We LOVE celebrating successes with all the great CC kids (and their parents!)

I auditioned in Chicago!

IDK what to think now. lol I know multiple people who have been accepted, but did not receive a call. I’ll just expect the worst while hoping for the best. Not having good feelings about this school now.

Athena, are you saying that your friends did not receive a call when they were accepted? If so, I know others in that same situation. This is the first I’ve heard about anyone receiving a phone call from PPU. Everyone else I know who was accepted got their acceptance via snail mail.

I do know one person who was accepted into the class of 2016 and did not receive a call. He received a letter about 3 weeks after his audition, which took place in December, I believe. There are two kids in the class of 2013, that I do not know personally, but we share mutual friends, and they did not receive a call either. Then again they auditioned 3 years ago. This is not helping my nerves! ha

i got a call because i hadnt applied to the school yet, they lost my application. i think thats why i was called. but i seriously wouldnt stress. i applied as a transfer too so maybe that has something to do with it.

Well congratulations Mandamarie that is great news!! It’s just so interesting because you said that you got a phone call perhaps because you didn’t apply yet and/or lost your application when it clearly says on PPU’s website that you won’t recieve an admission decision until after you’ve been accepted into the school academically. This process is really making me confused! lol but I will not stress over it!

Hello!! I was accepted into PPU’s MT class for 2016. I auditioned back in December in Georgia. I think I am the person AthenaL is talking about actually. I do know one other girl who was accepted. That’s all I have heard though. Good luck! :)

I auditioned in Chicago as a walk-in and they said they’d call if they wanted me to apply which would mean I was admitted…my friend did a walk-in and got in recently but I haven’t heard anything…today however my younger brother picked up the phone to “a call from Pittsburg” which turned out to be Point Park asking if I had any questions or that’s what my brother thought he said- is this possibly a good sign since I didn’t apply to the university?

I would take it as a good sign, but I would call them back asap. It seems the walk-ins who have not yet applied have gotten responses. AH! I applied to the school in October, accepted academically in November, auditioned 2/4 in NYC, and still waiting for a response! SO nerve wracking! While at my AMDA audition I ran into a few people who auditioned with me, and they haven’t heard back either!

Right I auditioned at Chicago unifieds, and recieved an academic acceptance about 1 week ago. If I read correctly it states that we should know about the artistic acceptance 2 weeks after the auditions! Also, judging from the deferral thread some kids have recieved emails stating that they were still under consideration. I just want to know if those who did not recieve an email are getting denied…

I was told by someone at unifieds, that we should revieve notice about 3 weeks after the audition. Many people who auditioned on-campus received notices within 3 weeks. Honestly, I think it probably will take 4-6 weeks for us because unified auditions are just one big whirl of students auditioning. Walk-ins, scheduled auditions, and add in the fact that they are pretty much on the road for about 2 weeks. I know I want to hear back soon, but I have come to the realization that the period after unifieds must be the toughest/most hectic time to send out notifications. I know many people who did walk-ins have received notification encouraging them to apply, but they must be waiting to see who actually applies before they send out all the notifications to people who have been accepted into the school. I don’t know, I guess I’m trying to make myself feel better. It’s kind of working.

You’re right, I was completely mixed up as far as when i thought they were suppose to notify us, lol. I actually can rest for another week, because I thought they just didnt contact me haha.

I spoke with admissions this morning and they said they are in the process of sending out decisions from Unifieds this week. So I IMAGINE most people should have some sort of decision by next week some time. But I also wouldn’t be surprised if they kept some on hold until after their final audition date which isn’t until APRIL 14!

Oh, thank you so much!
