Any news?

Nothing still in LA metro area…

I got the acceptance letter with the presidential scholarship opportunity
OC area :DDDDD
happiest day of my life

Congratulations!

Congrats Joseph. Would you mind sharing your stats?

Congratulations Joseph!

Congratulations josephsmith! Are you in the LA area?

Congratulations to all who are receiving early news. Josephsmith, you may be the very first on cc to receive your package in the mail so far. What is the postmark date? Also–very important–what major???

Everyone, keep the faith. In past years they seemed to come out not all at once over this next week.

I got my letter too! I live ~15 minutes away from USC :).

Dornsife and Undecided :D.

Last year my son’s took quite some time (over a week?) to get to North Carolina. We already knew he was a Presidential candidate because we got that explore link on line, so the wait wasn’t so bad, but for one of you on the East Coast remember that priority mail does not necessarily mean 2 days.

@NC Mom- What explore link?

After reading this site for few days, I finally signed up.

Nerve racking. My kid applied SCA. (tough call). Welcome any suggestions.

there’s a new box, “mid year grade reports” on my usc connect. i guess this means no scholarship

*can someone who got a scholarship check this? go on your usc connect and see if there’s a box for mid year grade reports. thanks!

I just got mine in the mail, in San Diego. Up for a Trustee Scholarship! Very excited.

It was USPS Priority Mail

The explore link appeared last year on the student account as soon as the letters were generated. As soon as they figured out what we were doing, they took it down. It sounds like they are waiting to put it up until later this week or next week. Basically a new tab will appear on their account and it allows you to sign up for the Scholarship Explore USC dates. It also told you which scholarship you were up for.

Mid-year grade report like showed up in USCconnect. No scholarship?

Same here. Mid-Year Grade Report showed up on USConnect.

@Isurus…on your USConnect account did that show up on your admissions tab?

Question: I had an interview at USC already in November. Do scholarship nominees have to interview again? I ask because I didn’t receive any packet in the mail, and think that I may find out later as I don’t need an interview. Any information would be great, thanks!

Cougar,
There are many scholarships that do not require an interview at this time. Dean’s Scholarships do not require an interview. There are ethnic group, religious, leadership and other scholarships at SC. still to be announced. Later admitted students are asked to apply for Town & Gown, Associates, SCion (legacy) and other scholarships. Last year about 23% of the freshmen received some kind of merit scholarship.

The students who post here are a tiny percentage of potential freshmen.

If I got midyear report it means no scholarship?

I sure hope not, because one appeared on my USC connect page (and on many others’ here at CC) as well. Can someone who’s received the scholarship letter answer the question about the Mid-Year Report box? I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s wondering (and feeling very nervous!) about this here. Thank you!
