Any Nigerian's in the house

who's Amerie? sorry, :)

SWitch, I read about it in the punch. It was about two years ago. I would check for the date later.

Amerie is a singer

oh i'm sorry, lol. when it comes to showbiz/pop i'm totally LOST, haha!!

hey! i'm busy on CC when i should be working, lol....bye guys, later. the 2290 guy turned down penn and n-western for caltech.

Abdullahi II went to Oxford for his graduate education, and can hardly speak Arabic! cool guy, though.

so BUMP! where are Afrikaan, Featherflare and Bashir7, and bumpitybump, and ukay, and pimpcess05 and Osaetin, and EVERYONE IN THE HOUSE, or should i say OUT OF THE HOUSE?!! lol..

just finished my finals today.. but i've been following the posts though none where for me..lol..thanks for asking dough..

hey...a quick q...

How's Gabrone, Botswana.
My aunt lives there and i'll be goin there next month. Whats the plac like?

Hello everyone....are you all in Nigerians in the states?? or is anyone of you guys from Canada by any chance :)?.......and lastly...you all seem to be yoruba......any Urhobo folks out there??

welcum to our nigerian thread okocha.. enjoy...hehe
p.s not everyone is yoruba dough

Well, Arjun, i never left a 120km radius from my hometown all my life, but now I'm in Zimbabwe, which is bordered on the west by Botswana [thousands of miles away from Nigeria [west africa] in southern africa]. Beyond that, I know very little about Botswana, except that: It is Africa's fastest growing economy built largely on one of the world's largest diamond productions, if not the largest, with RSA as its leading trade partner.
What else? majority of the people speak Tswana. I know nothing about Gaborone except that it's the capital, and it's about 10 hours away from Harare by road...
You'll probably learn more from your aunt since she lives there and you're going there:) have a safe trip!

Welcome, Okocha!!

well, not all of us are in the US anyway! in fact most of aren't...we're still home lads

what are you doing now? school, uni/college or gap year?

well done, ukay!!! hope they were fine. wishing you a great summer!!!

Thanks Jrock!.....i've just finished my first year of Uni at Queen's University in Canada. It's really cool that you guys are still in Nigeria....my parents are heading back for a couple of weeks on Monday.

How about you? gap year/university?? or have you applied and are waiting for the responses??

and................i just noticed that you're in Harare, which of course is not in Nigeria...whoops sorry!!

oh, cool! nice! how's "O Canada!"? by God's grace I'll be going to Williams this fall! yeah, i've been in harare this gap year, whew! can't wait to get out, lol!

oh nigeria, that's cool...but for me, the longer i'm away, the less i want to return, lol. the absence of the rule of law, the chaos and the anarchy is just scary. but that's a coward's talk. i'll come back...

Not to mention the fuel scarcity, Jrock (in an oil producing nation...who would have thought?). Have you received your I-20 yet?

Okocha, welcome to the thread. I hear that Canada's winter is pure murder. Any thoughts from an insider? I'm still in Nigeria but hopefully, that won't be for too long...

Ukay, I was wondering where you disappeared to but it's great to have you back. Maybe you'll become more of a fixture here. And, have a great summer. Still on course for Mt. Holyoke? And, is your current college also all girls?

Sefago, Amerie went to Georgetown? OMG!!! Guess she's also smart then (life isn't fair.... some have it all, and others make do....lol)

I'm impressed and disappointed at how few Nigerian princes who want money to secure their fortune jokes have been made in this thread.

:p

just finished my AP tests-didnt go too well. BUt I am done now-yay!.
