Hi
I got assigned to a triple in Alderman. Anyone know what the situation is and how much bigger the rooms are? etc

Housing tries really hard to avoid triples, so you may be reassigned before the year starts. Which is why few people have lived in a triple. The rooms for triples are a bit bigger, but still not particularly huge. You can see pictures on the housing website. HTH

I’m in a triple too. I was really hoping to be assigned to McCormick so this is pretty disappointing

Well like I said, they really try not to have triples, it looks really bad for housing. So when people get off of the waitlist at other colleges or otherwise don’t show up, the students in triples are the ones moved first. It’s not a promise but it’s what typically happens. I know that is a bit different this year due to enrollment going up and some dorm construction limiting rooms, but it’s not out of the question to hope you will get switched out. Good luck. :)

Hey now check this out [U.Va. Housing News](http://uvahousing.■■■■■■■■■■■■■/) I told you they’re going to try to get rid of the triples… They look bad!!

Thanks for all your help :D

hazelorb, I couldn’t find the pictures on the website :x can you please post a link?

Ohh yeah I saw those, but I couldn’t really find (or recognize) the triples. I think I see them now though… thanks!

my first year our suite had one triple, and our sister suite had one triple… a spot opened up in the fall though, so the girls next door became a double… i thought the room was a little tight for three people, but hopefully a spot will open up and you won’t have to deal with that… good luck.
