So...what's our final list of ED girls?

raises hand

where is everyone here from? i'm from florida. :)

California.

Massachusetts (ugh...not so helpful in admissions!)

New Jersey...it's even worse for me!!

First quarter grades???? :-O

Do they require those from everyone or just those applying ED? My first quarter grades were AWFUL due to random insomnia. Well, I suppose they could be worse, but they were all B+'s except for an A+ in Latin >< Please tell me that regular decision applicants submit their grades from first semester! I can average all of my B+'s out. I wasn't lazy; I just wasn't sleeping at all for no reason!! So much for scheduling an interview...

For RD you only submit semester grades.:) Quarter grades are just requested for ED because they have to make a decision before first semester ends at most schools and they want to see that you're still pushing yourself and doing well.

OK, so my stupid school just sent my transcripts this morning. Do you think I'm disqualified from ED if my transcripts are postmarked 2 days late?! I'm kind of freaking out right now...

I'm sure it's not a problem. I called Barnard about teacher recs (because one of mine hadn't arrived) and they said that as long as I had submitted my part, it was okay if the other stuff was a few days late.

Ugh...I just realized in my essay that I wrote "parent's bedroom" instead of "parents' bedroom"...I checked it over a million times, I cannot believe I missed that...I hope they don't notice...!!

Don't worry about it. Even if they do notice, one, they most likely won't care, and two, for all they know it's only one parent's bedroom...

Haha, I did only mention my dad =]

I applied ED. I'm from Missouri. Kind of lucked out in that respect...

Please don't freak out about a possession mistake. That only makes me nervous... haha.

Sorry, it's only because my counselor thinks I'm a long shot and that I need everything to be perfect. Otherwise, she says, they'll simply toss my application away. She says they look for reasons to not accept someone...She may just be overly pessimistic...

I am sure that if Barnard wants you, they'll accept you. The grammar mistake will NOT be the deciding factor in you getting in or not. Your application should be as good as it possibly can be and an accurate representation of you. But not necessarily perfect. So chill! :)

haha i just sent my application a few days before the deadline and i am pretty sure my guidance couselor mailed it the day b4 ... would that affect admissions at all?
and I didn't know that Barnard required the first quarter report card because I didn't even get mine yet, our quarter ended a few days ago..
anyways. does everyone have a facebook here?
Does anyone wanna create a Fb group: Barnard ED 2013? haha
