<p>My daughter was assigned to her second choice for housing, Thornwell, for the fall. Music has always been an important part of her life so I think once she gets over the initial disappointment, she will be fine (she was hoping for Preston). Is anyone else assigned here? Any current students know anything about this community? </p>
<p>Great location. Very central and right behind horseshoe. I think maybe AUgirl lived here…maybe she’ll chime in.</p>

<p>I didn’t live in Thornwell, but I lived in Maxcy which is beside it and Woodrow, which is the exact same style building, so essentially, I have the experience of living there if you combine the two! lol</p>
<p>Anyways, it’s a great location on campus (not as good as Preston, but still very, very good) and the people in Thornwell are pretty nice. I think they have much more of a community feel than the other apartment buildings on campus. I do know that my dorm experience was very different from my apartment experience because of the community. That being said, it seemed like everyone in Thornwell knew each other and they hung out together way more than they did at Woodrow. Not sure if that’s because of outside influences of music groups or what. Either way, it’s a pretty close group usually.</p>
