Any other Psych majors waiting for UCLA?

I haven't seen any psych majors on this forum.

Any other psych majors who are waiting for UCLA? It's supposed to be impacted, but I was checking 2010's acceptances and people with a 3.6 and no TAP were getting accepted.

Here's the link:

Are there any current Psych majors at UCLA who can give us some info about the program and how things are overall.

I am so looking forward to next month (4 more days)!! Scream 4 and UCLA admissions are coming out :)

Can you link to the 2010 forum???

I also applied to UCLA, Berkeley, and UC Davis (Human Development). I am a psych major as well.

Kidkrasher- whats your gpa? I have a 3.84 with no TAP.

so It’s only 3 of us?

Psych is impacted in but not as impacted as biology, bizecon, econ and communications.

my GPA is pretty low a 3.4, but I have TAP and and alternate major (Philosophy) as a back up.

thats good. Do you have extensive EC’s, volunteer work and in an educational prep program?

No :(

My CC sucks. There are no super active clubs. Psi Beta Kappa just got started this spring after so many years.

I was part of IDEAS club, I did volunteer work at the public library, tennis club, and other clubs from high school.

I was part of the honors program, that’s why I have TAP.

I applied Davis (tag), Cal, UCi, and UCLA (tap) gpa is 3.63

I’m a psych major. No TAP :/. 3.65 but I’m part of a pretty cool program at UCLA similar to Cal’s TAP so I’m hoping that helps a bit.

psych major.
3.81 w/ TAP.

@ucla kid, what other schools did you apply for?

Psych major! Applied to UCLA, UCSD, UCB, UCD and UCB. Got into UCSD. Waiting for UCB and UCLA to release their decisions. They take forever !

Kidkrasher- Because I was a nursing major before I switched to psychology and nursing schools in cali said that if you volunteer in settings like these helping people with alzheimers, it will increase your chances of getting into nursing schools.

My counselor and the MESA director know each other and I was allowed to join MESA under the nursing major.

Hello! I’m a psychology major as well.
