I already have an 800 in USH and 750 in Lit....but my Math II was terrible. So if I'm applying somewhere like Georgetown which requires 3 SAT IIs, I'd want a better third one. The only other exam I think I can get a 750+ on is Chinese, but I am Chinese (although I was born here and don't speak Chinese regularly.) So is there any point in taking it?

Probably not. Since the admissions officers will know you’re Chinese but won’t know that you don’t speak it regularly, they will expect an 800 (and even if you do get 800, their first impression will be, “No duh, he/she is Chinese”).

If you’re Chinese, a high score on the Chinese SAT II won’t say much to selective colleges. Same for any other native world language. With USH and Lit, you’ve got your humanities covered, so you might want to consider studying for a math/science test just to show your competence in those areas, too. Maybe bio, physics, or chem, or perhaps Math 1 if you feel more comfortable with geometry than algebra 2. Just something to think about.

Colleges actually dislike the idea that the applicants use their native language for advantage on the IIs. Obviously even taking it is not 好 for you. Don’t take it.

Don’t even think about it if you speak another dialect(Do you speak Yue 粤?). It’s only a worse. Not only do you have to study Mandarin for the test, but also the admission officers will look down on the fact that you ARE Chinese and you TOOK the exam as a native-speaker.

Have you learned any other foreign language? Deutsch? ¿Español? L’italiano? Français? 한국어? Otherwise, stick to the subject exams that aren’t language exams.
