-I have done a lot of extracurriculums,
-I took 12 AP classes (still taking it) and maintained weighted GPA above 4.0

but only thing I am concerned about is my SAT score.
It is really really low, about 1500.

I really wanna get into UMD (either one) as chemistry major...
However is there any change for me getting into UMD??

What is safe SAT score for UMD??

*BTW I live in Maryland and I'm Asian

I would think a safe score would be 1900+. Have you tried taking the ACT?

UMD and UMBC both only look at CR + M. The middle 50% for UMD is 1250-1400. The middle 50% for UMBC is 1080-1290. Since you have a good GPA and tough course load, you might be able to get away with getting on the lower end of those stats. As the person above said, consider taking the ACT. It’s going to raise a lot of concern seeing such a low SAT score from someone with excellent grades while taking challenging classes.
