Any Potterheads out there?

I’m pretty excited for the last movie even though I already know how it ends since I read the book though I doubt I’ll get a chance to see it the first day it comes out.

Well, of course it isn’t as exciting as the release of the 7th book, because we already all know how it ends. But still, I never had a chance to go to a midnight release of one of the books, so this’ll be my substitute, a way to revive the excitement of the book releases a little bit.

ahhh I’m so excited!!! I saw the midnight premier of the first part, and will be seeing the midnight premier of the one that’s in less than a week(!).

So excited, but this is where my childhood almost ends o.0

Midnight showing, dressing up as my favorite character, Snape :)

I went to the midnight premier of the first part (7th movie) and the midnight release of the 5th book.

I don’t know who I should dress up as. Maybe Neville since he turns into a bad@ss in this part.

I’m dressing up as Luna. :)

I’m as big of a Potterhead as anyone, and I grew up with the books and movies, just like you all did, but I could never understand why anyone would cry at the end of the series. No matter how big of a fan I am, it’s a movie for Christsakes! Can anyone explain this phenomenon to me?

^ Wow, Bill O’reily is an @$$ hole

Harry potter has 21 volumes of interpretation and criticism on the political system of Harry Potter alone in the Library of Congress. It has even influenced this generations views on freedom of speech and press.

You have no idea just how HUGE harry potter is. This is without a doubt one of, if not the most influential fiction book of its time.

I really like Harry Potter, a lot, but honestly when every person on my tumblr dash is crying and whining about “the series being over” it gets annoying. The series is ~not~ over… there are books to be re-read, movies to be re-watched, games to be replayed, and POTTERMORE. Seriously you guys. :confused:
The people who cry the most are probably the same people who didn’t read the books because if you read the books, then there would be no spoilers and drama.
BTW books > movies; there is no exception to this rule EVER.
Also I’ll be in China when the film opens so I might watch it with my classmates. Or not. Whatever.

@Likesome jelly

Except for the Godfather book.
The movie was loads better.

I’m a fan… watching the ABC marathon this weekend. ;)

@madogmgd True…

I have met my own kind at long last!!!

I love the HP series. I’m a die hard Slytherin, I wear my badge with pride!!!

I plan on dressing up as a death eater for the final movie

Those books are my childhood. I remember standing in line for hours for every book, but the 1st.

I love the series, I love J.K. Rowling for her coolness. If I ever met her I would fall at her feet and cry (tears are pricking my eyelids at the moment by even thinking about it).

If I saw Tom Felton the things I would do to him ;)

HARRY POTTER!!! even my children will know his name, the books will have a holy spot in my future bookshelf.

Lol i was soooo excited when i saw this thread!

I can’t really cry though, I’ve gotten over the series after the 7th.

It’s like crying over a dead relative after you’ve spent the last 5 years crying.

Midnight premiere in 3D for me!!! Yesss!!!

I want to see Emma Watson’s goddess face in 3d :(

I’m not such a big fan of 3D… It always seems to detract from the film itself IMO. Is IMAX 3D any better?
