and it said its requirement was life science 1, 2 , 3, 4. i'm debating at if i should start with LS 1 or LS 2 this fall.... i heard that for some majors, like neuroscience, it's beneficial to tak LS 2 first since the first course you take for the actual major requires LS 2 first! Is this the same for psycobiology.

Take LS2 before LS1, not because it will help you in LS1 but simply because it gives you more flexibility. Because then you have the option of taking LS3 OR LS1 next, instead of only being able to take LS2. This can be useful if there are class conflicts, final conflicts, professor sucks, or it just results in an abnormally bad schedule.

Also remember to take 100A and 100B early in your career, i.e. before the end of your second year (you have time). Taking Psych 10 fall quarter, if you have too (did not get 4/5 on AP Psych), is a good idea because the class is easy (or at least Grijalva was) and because it allows you to sign up for 100A in the future. 10, 100A, 100B must be taken in order.

But don’t take ANY LS class in your first quarter. If your study habits are not up to par then you will be in for a rude awakening. The class is demanding and requires you to memorize and comprehend a LOT of stuff.

Thanx. I’m a 2nd year, so i think i’ll take it in the final. Further–is it ok if i take psych 100B this next summer? do i HAVE to finish it by my second year?

you dont HAVE to complete 100B by end of 2nd year, though it is strongly recommended just to get it out of the way. completing lower divs sooner and declaring psychobio will make it easier to get into your upper div classes.
