<p>I’m considering taking one of my GEs for pass/no pass this quarter to make the transition into college a little easier on myself (MUS 4, if you’re curious). How do graduate schools look on P/NP classes? I don’t plan on doing this often, and it isn’t a major-related course.</p>

<p>Welll, my source isn’t exactly reliable… its sort of a “my friend heard from his friend that its hard” kind of thing I’ll probably just stick with the letter grade for now, and if it seems hard after a couple of weeks, I’ll change it.</p>
<p>^That’s what I would recommend. Graduate schools shouldn’t care about a GE class like Mus 4 and it’s probably a REALLY easy A anyway.</p>

<p>Does anyone know how the UCSD music placement exam work? I know transfer students have to “test out” of Music 2A-B-C and Music 2AK-BK-CK but I need more details. For instance, is the exam difficult or easy? How basic keyboarding and musicianship skills are we looking at? Would anyone like to share their comments or thoughts on this…pretty please, cherry on top!?</p>
