So norcalgrl, to which Claremont did you apply, and what was your methodology? My D is interested in exploring neuroscience (says the description of the discipline sounds right on to her). If you don't mind sharing, it would be useful to me. Thanks.

I want to do math, too!

well, i got into pomona ed1, so i hadn't applied to many of my other schools yet (waiting against odds so maybe i wouldnt have to pay so many app fees) but i was planning on applying to harvey mudd and probably pitzer. honestly, i didnt just choose pomona for the neuroscience. i was excited that they had neuroscience, but when i started out looking at colleges I wasn't narrowing it down by majors. i decided that I could do a bio major which was what i was planning on doing and most schools offer it and go from there. I really chose to apply to pomona ed1 because after going there and reading everything i possibly could about it, i felt like I would fit there adn that it would work for me.
I chose it over the other claremonts because it also offers a wider variety of classes and majors and i would be able to continue doing and taking classes in the other subjects that i enjoy.
i hope that helps. basically, i researched them all, then went to look at them and talked to people there, then researched some more (although by that time i was already leaning heavily towards pomona) and made sure that i was sure and applied. I think that if your D goes to look at the schools or reads about them herself then she'll be able to figure out which school is right for her.
