Добро пожаловать! :)

It’s nice to see other Russians on here.

Hey, cricket123!
Where are you from?

Hey!
Born in Moscow but came to the US when I was two.
My parents and their parents and so on were born and raised in Moscow.
You?

I’m from Nizhny Novgorod.
Are you applying as US citizen?

Yes. I have a US citizenship as do my parents…

You’re lucky then :)

Why?
Are you applying as a Russian citizen? Is that more difficult?

Yes, I’m applying as a Russian citizen (no other variants lol)
Well, financial aid for international students is VERY limited and it is unbelievably hard to get, while there are a lot of colleges that are need-blind for US citizens. That’s why you’re lucky.
And another thing, since you’ve lived in the USA for a long time you must have good scores (CR and Writing particularly), don’t you?

BTW, what language do you consider as your native?

Oh, I was thinking being international would increase your chances of being accepted… I didn’t think about financial aid limits.
That sucks.
I’m sure if you dig really deep though, you can find some good scholarships for international students.

Well, it depends on what you consider a good score. My best SAT scores are 680CR, 700M, and 770W. How are yours?

I consider Russian to be my native language.

Best of luck!!! :D

Thanks! I wish you the same!
But I don’t wanna post my scores because they really suck.

Ahh, it’s okay.
I am sure everything will work out for you :)

Thanks!
BTW, I’ve always wondered, is it true that on a date a girl pays for herself in the USA?

No. That’s not true. I mean, I guess that sometimes happens on more casual dates but the guy is usually expected to pay…

Thanks for the clarification :)

No problem. Feel free to ask me any other questions!

prostozina, like 7 or 8. How many do you have?

Do you mean the number of colleges I’m applying to?
