Any shot as a transfer?

I am attending USC as a first semester freshman.

I came into this uni with 28 community college credits, all 4.0
First semester I'm going to guess I have something like a 3.2
This gives me a cumulative "college" gpa of 3.79
I am white.

High school grades:
4.0 UW gpa
2180 SAT
Great extracurriculars

Involvement at USC after one semester:
Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity
Orientation Advisor
Job at Music School

My biggest concern is withdrawing from a class this first semester.
I was initially enrolled in 16 units but withdrew from a math class which put me down to 12.

How will this affect my chances?
Do I have a shot at Northwestern based on the big boost my college gpa gets from my community college courses?

Your performance at USC will be more important than how you fared in CC. You need to get your USC GPA up by a lot, and if you have good ACT/SAT scores, you can have a shot. You’ll be competing with many people that have great SAT/ACT/GPA’s though, so do something to stand out. In your essay, try to explain why you had a bad first semester.

Same here, wanna transfer, ucla freshman, I guess we just can’t stop the stupid rivalry haha.
