Any sites where I can find calculator programs for SAT2 math2?

I've been searching, but I can't seem to find any.

I use a ti84.

Your brain.

oh gee, good job on your cleverness, fireshark.

it’s certainly higher than yours, at least I’m able to remember the equations used on the test.

hhaha ha

And they certainly aren’t complex equations. If you simply know how to USE a calculator, it’ll come in handier than the programs you’re trying to stuff on there.

I know, I know.
It’s just, a lot of people told me to get some programs, so i just thought i should listen :P

Didn’t you already score 800?

i got a 750 last time.

why dont you just get a ti 89 that ull need in college anyway and get an easy 780+?

^ SAT and ACT do not allow a TI-89.

For at least the SAT, I know this to be false.

i’ll consider it.
is the 89 THAT big of an advantage?

yes. absolutly. the solve capabilities can save you about 10 min.

Here are the SAT-2 related functions on top of my heads that the TI89 latest update provides (which may or may not be in the TI84)

 • Solve function, permutation, combination, matrix, absolute value, log
 • y=f(x) graph with multiple graphs per space (great for finding equation solution without manipulation or those that the solve function took very long to solve or trigo functions that the solve function churns out gibberish)
 • Stats app for regression line info and other things such as median, Q1, Q3 but I very rarely use it

Using calculator programs is what I would consider cheating. Technically, the exam proctor is supposed to require every student taking a math exam to reset their calculator. So I would not recommend wasting time trying to figure out third party software. Know the formulas and you’ll do well.

Calc programs are unnecessary. I don’t feel like it saves much time, either, and it’s not good at all from a learning perspective. As for 89 vs 83+/84, I have both, but for both SAT and SAT II I used my 83+, as I find everything I need for the SAT II can be found on the 83+, and I think it’s easier to use. For intensive number-bashing (math competitions), 89 is good, though.

Why would you need programs for a calculator, when a TI-84 can do all of the work. Find zeros… easy! Plot a graph. Unless you are really into factorizing cubics… or even quadratics to start with… Oh so you get 1.414… big deal! That’s the square root of 2… Oh what about 2.718… Wait, I think you know what is e right? What’s the Pythagorean theorem? Jesus, do you need me to go on listing?

“Students are not required to clear the memory in their calculators.”
