OK, i am actually a "foreigner" who have lived in U.S for almost 4 years, for a lot reasons, i've never applied myself in school, one of the reason is that no one ever acutally talked to me about the details of all those stuff untill the late 11 grade, which is kind too late. so my gpa is pretty low. Now the last year of high school, I am not sure where to go...
Actually i tot about going to CC first to improve the grades or do a two plus two with some schools , but i couldnt' find any lists of schools who does this program online. What worries about me is that even if i have super good grade when i go transfer, there arent many space open for me. Also i wonder what level of schools u can go to as a transfer student. Like medium? good? very good?
I am interested in engineering and art, anyone know any regular colleges for these? like not good but not crappy either?... I did a some reserches in college board, but i think i better hear some suggestions from "native americans". waiting for help...
i am grateful...

While we probably need some test scores and what you are looking for, the first school that comes to mind for me is UCF. (Relatively) cheap OOS tuition and its reasonable with GPAs in that range. Another school that is pretty much just engineering is New Mexico Tech. Interesting location, small/liberal arts feel (1,300 kids), and dirt-cheap tuition costs (13k OOS). Might be a bit of a reach, but its somewhere I’d look if I were doing engineering. Other places could include Florida Tech, Drexel, NC State if you like big sports, or Michigan Tech. Obviously others, just a few that might be low reach just knowing your GPA.

or Missouri University Science Technology - don’t remember the exact name; the one in Rolla. From which state did you graduate high school?

Since you’re an int’l, you won’t qualify for federal aid. And, with your stats, I doubt you’d get any institutional aid.

Therefore, how much can your parents pay towards your education?

If the amount is low or nothing, then you must start at your local cc.

Did you take the SAT or ACT?

I agree, the Missouri University of Science and Technology is a good school that is cheap and not incredibly hard to be accepted to.

However, it all depends on your ACT too.

A 3.0 with a 33 ACT score is one thing and a 3.0 with a 19 ACT score is something else.
