any suggestions

I am visiting Tech for the first time, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or reccomendations of things to-do, things not-to-miss, things that I should look into, things that I should steer clear of when I am on campus, etc. Anything that anyone can tell me would be a tremdous help.
I appreciate it.

I would stay away from the North Avenue Marta Station

^^ why? MARTA is smarta.

Make sure you visit Tech Tower; I think there are a lot of informational meetings for prospective students and parents there.

And ryan's right..MARTA is smarta...pee saturated elevators and all ;) . No seriously, it's not that bad. For $1.75, it can take you to a whole lot of places!

just don't take the elevators.

MARTA is not ***ing smarta! It's a POS wanna-be transit system. It scares me, it smells funny... not cool. *shudders and runs girlishly back to Cobb County

I assume you are coming with your parents. Go to see the fish (GA Aquarium) and some of the new development at atlanta station. Marta to buckhead and lenox mall will let them know their baby can get to the stores.

Gogle is your friend. Try creative loafing in a search engine and post a note on the ga tech message board on the gatech.edu site. Drill down on prospective students, freshman and the board should be there.

Lots to do but since I live here I do none visitor stuff which will be hard for you. this weekend I was on the App trail and tomorrow have a canoe trip down the river later its back up in the mts to camp for two days and then to the coast for 4 days in the swamp with my ap biology class. See not much for your parents.

If you have a day or tow the Ocoee white water rafting should be going its a family friendly deal.

If you are by yourself there is tons on music and stuff. How about some hints and some parameters for what you are interested in.

Carter Center King Center are both history buff things. Cent Olympic Park is cool World of Coke is marketing gone mad mad mad.
