College tour...

Hey

So I'm in Atlanta right now, and today I'm going to GaTech's collegetour. After the tour, though, I have the entire day off + tomorrow to browse through the city/college (if it matters at all, I'm planning on being a Bio/pre-dent).

Can any of you give me some recommendations on where to go/what to do here?

Thanks in advance.

Check out the area near 16th st near IKEA. They completely built up the area and there is a lot to do there. Movies, shopping, & eating. I've never been but in passing it looks pretty fancy.

You could also go to the High Museum. It's off 16th St NE and Peachtree St (there are like 13 peachtree st though)

Could go downtown to the CNN center or Coke building

Could go to Underground Atlanta

Could go to Piedmont park if you don't mind seeing al ot of gay couples walking around. Nice open park.

Go out to Buckhead and maybe Phipps Plaza. Avoid Lenox mall which is practically across the street.

Also, NEVER venture West of the campus. Specifically West on North Ave. It gets ghetto over there. I'm talking government cheese ghetto.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try to do as much as possible.
Yesterday I went to the CNN/Coke buildings, they were quite interesting.
and why avoid Lenox mall?

Lenox mall is nice. IDK why you would avoid it. A good 1.5 million square feet of shopping and retail, fairly upscale (not as much so as Phipps, though).

I avoid it because I don't like the crowds that hangout there.
