Of those voted out pre-jury, I think they would focus on Ellie. I can see her being cast on an All-Star season. The others had compelling personal stories but I don’t think they had as much game play.
Of all the players this season, she was my least favorite. I just found her to be a know it all.
I didn’t really have an opinion of her but the remaining cast seemed to reference her vote as being significant in removing a threat.
Just watched the final episode. My family rolls their eyes every Survivor season… my guilty pleasure.
The game has definitely evolved although I do miss having contestants that are a bit controversial. It seems like the show is moving toward a more “Kumbaya feel” rather than the cut-throat, scheming, or strategic show it was in the past. Perhaps people are nicer and more congenial because the time-frame is only 26 days.
I still enjoy watching and secretly think I could survive…
Seems a lot of the contestants are pushing back at the narrative that Cassidy was “robbed” of the win. She herself was initially supporting this, but finally went on social media and said to stop insulting and attacking the other contestants on the season.
Three Survivor 43 castaways have been awarded cash prizes totaling $200,000 from pop star and longtime Survivor fan Sia Kate Isobelle Furler.
Sia recently handed out her “Sia Award” in different cash amounts to her three favorite Survivor 43 players: fourth-place finisher Jesse Lopez, third-place finisher Owen Knight, and Ryan Medrano, who was the tenth person voted out of the game and the third member of the jury.
Wow that’s unreal!
I’m so happy for Ryan! I just loved him. He was my pick to win even though I knew it was very unlikely. But his joy at just everything was beautiful.
My kids thought Cassidy should have won and didn’t think Gabler should have been the winner.
But Gabler’s final jury conversations seemed to solidify it for me. Owen just seemed like a really nice self-deprecating person and I enjoyed his interactions with the camera. And he’s an admissions person too.
Overall, other than Jesse playing Cody’s idol, I thought the season was kinda “vanilla.”
Some of that may be because it is 26 weeks instead of 39.
Survivor starts tonight!
I’ll be watching
