I wonder if this somehow relates to the writer’s strike. Both Survivor and TAR are already filmed and probably can be edited to 90 minutes, which would help fill time with new programming.
I like watching the jury’s expressions. I really miss Ponderosa.

She is pretty good at reading people. Also maybe because contestants to date have underestimated her, they have been less guarded around her. I think the prior vote against Franny really threw her off but she was in full play mode this episode.

It seems planned, as the rumors were pre-dating the struck. And the trade mags seem to concur
A fall schedule impacted by the strike could mean additional episodes or extensions of their favorite shows. CBS, for instance, has supersized both Amazing Race and Survivor. It didn’t make the move as a result of the writers strike, but it’s a bonus for adventure fans.
There were 2 votes for Danny and 2 for Heidi so Carolyn didn’t need to use her immunity. I really like her but the better move would have been to hold on to it
But of course the worst thing is to go home with an idol in your pocket.

I was pretty happy to see Danny get his testosterone you-know-what kicked. He did a couple of nice things during the show but he and others have treated Carolyn like sh_t and dude, she outwitted you on that one.
Carolyn feels hard. She loves hard and she “hates” hard. She’s not to be messed with.
Props for Jam Jam winning that gosh awful creeps me out challenge!

I think Carolyn was under the radar until this past week. Nobody ever thought she had the idol, and they all underestimated her. This move puts a target on her back, let’s see how this plays out.

Between the Tika three, Yam Yam is probably wondering why he didn’t know about Carolyn’s idol. In his mind, if Carson knew, are Carson and Carolyn working together and just carrying him along as a third wheel? If so, that is why we see him telling Carson that he wants Carolyn out. I think we were just shown that as a tease. I can’t see the Tika three breaking up now.
Jamie and Lauren voted with Tika last week, so will they work together and try to vote out Heidi? Or, will they join with Heidi and try to vote out a Tika member? Heidi’s idol has to be played at either this tribal or the next.
Finally watched last night. Carolyn made a big, but unnecessary move. I guess the four split the vote to avoid an idol, but that clearly opened the door for the Tika 3 to vote one of them out. Better move might have been to quietly move from Carson to Carolyn just to break up the alliance (easy to say from the couch!).
Interesting to see how tonight will go. I think Carolyn is a decent player, but have to say I would be disappointed if she wins.
They really edited last night to make you think it would be Carolyn.

Interesting outcome. Not sure she was the right person to go home as I don’t think she was much of a threat to win. Have to hand it to the Tikas for surviving to final 5.

I don’t think there was any chance that the Tika three would split up. We saw Carson and Carolyn confess that. I’m sure Yam Yam said the same thing and that they didn’t show it to us. Voting out Carolyn would have given Heidi, Lauren and Jamie the opportunity to work together to vote out the other Tika members.
Early this season, I read that producers really liked this cast. I have to agree. This is one of the more entertaining seasons of Survivor. I’m disappointed that we don’t know much about Heidi and Lauren. If one of them wins, it will be a let down. Not because they don’t deserve it, but because we didn’t get to see their game play.
I think only because Lauren had immunity bc they wanted to split those 2.
At this point I would also be disappointed if Lauren or Heidi win because I don’t feel like we know them well. Especially Heidi - outlying I just know she was Danny’s shadow!
I feel like If any Tina wins, they all sort of win.
