3 (?) hour finale tonight! Don’t know that I’ll be able to watch because I have a dinner to go to…I really prefer to watch a finale on the actual night because it can be SO hard to avoid spoilers!
The fire challenge always gets me SOOOO nervous!

I want a Tika final three. I want Carolyn to win, but I sense some of the jurors and future jurors are uncomfortable with her personality.I think Carson or more likely Yam Yam will win.
I think Carolyn will get Sia’s cash prize!
It would be such a treat to see Tika 3 in the top 3. Happy with any of them winning - and admittedly, Carson has been my fav all along - but, I don’t think he will win if he is up against Carolyn and Yam Yam. There is always (I don’t really know why) a mentality that a youngster shouldn’t get a million. Do I think he earned it (so far) as much as the other two - yes.
None of them excel at physical challenges. All of them have social game - you could argue that Carolyn’s social game is being the “anti-social/outcast”. Everyone loves Yam Yam and Carson has played plenty of people whether they realize it or not. Where Carson stands out with these 3 (and others) is his puzzle skills.
But to be honest, I feel like RARELY does it happen that the person I think should win, does!
I think Carson is just such a likable young man. My own son, however, strongly holds Carson’s 3D printer puzzles against him!
There are rare times when I feel the wrong person at FTC won.
But there have been many instances where I thought the person eliminated immediately before FTC should have won. Unfortunately, they did not win that crucial final immunity challenge. Which I think is what will happen with Carson tonight.
Wasn’t that the case with Jesse last season? Totally agree.
Yes, he lost at fire making I believe.
Yup. The most recent example. Cassidy won the final immunity challenge and chose to have Gabler and Jesse compete in a fire making challenge. I was Team Jesse from the beginning and was really hoping he’d make it to FTC.
Oooh, perfect! I can watch Jeopardy! Masters then start up Survivor and skip through the commercials!
Carolyn drives met nuts, but I do hope it’s one of the Tika tribe.
I did like Danny’s impression of De Niro doing a mobster.
I liked Danny at the start, but he just talked way too much. Dude, play your game without telling others the “right” way to play. He was low key condescending. I enjoyed watching him get shut out of winning individual immunity
Well I didn’t watch the celebration yet but got through enough to see the winner.
Pleased and satisfied.
As he was my fav, I have to say it became pretty clear that while he wasn’t on the final stage Carson really had a hand in both Carolyn and Yam Yam Being there. It was interesting to me that Carson was allowed to ask so many questions. Maybe it was the edit.
Dang that was a fast fire. Any other fire challenge and unsure Carson might have won it
Really enjoyable season. While her effort with fire was admirable and impressive I still don’t know that Heidi deserved the win.
Tomorrow night I’ll watch the (usually corny) celebration
I am sure it came down to the social game. People liked Yam Yam much more than Caroline. Heidi had no chance. I wonder how it would have played out with the tiki trio at the end instead of Heidi - would Carson have won then.
The minute I saw the round puzzle I knew Carson would win that challenge, wonder if he built one of those also to practice on. Not that it mattered in the end, but I think Carson should have taken Lauren with him instead of Yam Yam. Leaving his two buddies on the beach to ensure that nobody plots against him and that Lauren and Heidi were not able to plot together (keep your friends close but your enemies closer).
My favorite part of the episode is Carolyn learning that Carson works with NASA. Also, funny, them all finding out that Jamie was telling the truth about the idol, then learning that it was a fake.
Overall, I enjoyed this season.
A great season. I adored Carolyn and Yam Yam. I was happy with the outcome.
However, I really want to see a few villains in the future. Anyone else remember how cut throat this game could be in the past? This cast was filled with wonderful people, which is endearing but can seriously lack drama.
You’re not wrong but I do feel like this season’s players could be relatable for a lot of people. Everyday workers, nerds, people managing through life problems…and I think Jeff actually had a fondness for this group!
But sure, bring back some drama, I’m ok with that!
Maybe I’ll see it in the celebration part of the show that I didn’t watch but I wonder who everyone in the jury voted for.
Do you think that minds were made up before the questioning - or did any of the 3 change minds because of their responses (for the better or worse!)???
Danny voted for Heidi; everyone else voted for Yam Yam
I’m a cynic - I always believe their minds are made up before the end. You know they’re at Ponderosa dissecting everything.
Only Danny voted for Heidi and despite what he says that was his vote before anyone spoke.
Thanks. I for some reason was thinking there was one vote for Carolyn. I wish she had got one vote!
I too think they lie when they say they don’t know who they are voting for when they go to the final tribal.
