Any transfer decisions yet?

To those who were admitted so far, what kind of financial aid have you received? I just got letter today from fin. office and they offer 4500 in loan and that's all. No scholarship, no grants... :( Which means I have to pay 15 000 out of my pocket, that's insane :( I guess I'm paying now for not being a NJ residents because apparently out of state students don't receive scholarships...

They have specific standards for scholarships. RU got hit with huge budget cuts so it's not surprising that they aren't handing out as much money.

they just updated my status saying they had my SAT II scores...thats kinda useless though

Guys,(for transfer students) you won't believe this, but if your an education major and have completed at least 1 year of college, NYU waives the SAT. Yes I said NYU. One of the top liberal arts schools in the country.

they updated my status today but just said last thing updated 4/040/08

My status page has said the same thing for the past two months.

Wooooooooo! I just found out that I have been accepted! Finally, as I put my application in last November.

Though, I'm confused. Since there's that "enrollment capacity" thing and after the two schools I was accepted to there's "open", is there a chance that the enrollment capacity will "close" if I don't enroll quick enough? Rutgers is my 2nd choice after William & Mary, and I have to wait til the 15th or so for them to give the decision...

Congrats Anselm! I assume your stats were very high like 3.8 GPA and super crazy club involvement. Thats great man. Im happy for you. Good Luck on whatever decision you make.

Just have to patiently wait now...... 7 days left......

Ron11612002, thanks! Actually, I had 3.5 GPA with 55 credits, OOS, some but not too many ECs, Phi Theta Kappa, President's List multiple times, 28 ACT, though worked 30+ hours per week throughout the time I've been in college. So I was solid but not stellar candidate.

Good luck to everybody who still hasn't gotten the decision!!!

Nice Anslem. I thought you didn't need to submit your ACTs or SATs since your a sophomore? I have a 3.45( Accounting lowered it significantly) with 78 credits, belong to Accounting Honor Society, made the dean's list both years, worked in Campus Ministry, and volunteered at soup kitchens and homeless shelters. I hope I get in.

Oh yeah, I forgot that I didn't have to submit the ATC to Rutgers. I did submit it to other schools though.

Are you in-state or OOS? In any case, I think you have a great shot. Good luck! :)

In state, Im coming from a 4 year university if that makes a difference.

Still nothing for me.

Now I'm getting a little nervous.

Ron, being in-state makes a huge difference. If I know anything, you should definitely be in. I hope you'll get the expected decision soon. :)

Anslem thanks but theres only problem, i had a 3.69 throughout my past two years and the current semester i dipped slightly. Im still maitaining a 3.45. I was taking a difficult accounting courseload plus I suffer from a disorder which makes it hard. They might reject me for one bad semester. I hope I get in. I appreciate the support. Good luck at rutgers.

ron, i cant wait to hear that you got in. i think you will. so do the rest of us :)

3.45 is not bad at all for in-staters. You should stop worrying and go get yourself a Rutgers sweatshirt already. I ordered mine about 5 minutes after I found out that I was accepted. :)

my friend just got rejected. 3.6 gpa =/ in state CC student. but she didnt have that many credits that were transferable so we're guessing thats why.. but im not sure.

whoa, that's kind of frightening. I'm really regretting waiting until now to apply, I hope my 3.87 will make enough of a difference.
