My friend applied waay back before the priority date... yeah I applied on April 12, and they got all my stuff on the 22nd... I applied to SAS New Brunswick, as well as Newark and Camden School Of Business... I wouldn't mind getting into anything at this point and I am really anxious I keep checking that status page as if it were a holy shrine... though I should have expected it applying so late. =\ Keep us updated as to when you get in/get a response toudoucement.

Will do.

Yeah I have been checking the response page zealously. It's a bit scary. I regret not applying before the priority application deadline, but I am confident there will be enough room for you and I if our credentials are adequate. A lot of students don't attend Rutgers since they choose it as a safety and also they are still accepting transfer applications; two points which are promising. Best of luck to you.

I got in just now.

yaaayyyy congrats!!!!!!!!! :):)

Congrats, I know you were waiting anxiously just like all of us.

toudoucement what were your stats, if you don't mind me asking
and congrats by the way

Thanks guys, and not at all.

Stats- I attended West Chester University of PA as a Political Science (Int. Relations) major
I was a second semester Sophomore
I have a 3.87 GPA
I am a resident of NJ
I belong to Alpha Mu Gamma (Foreign Language Honors Society)
I wrote a pretty convincing essay.

nice stats i'm still waiting on my notification I attend rutgers-camden though and looking to transfer up to new brunswick for the fall of 2008.

toudoucement: congrats!!! just wondering, but how long did it take to get ur acceptance notification? u applied after the priority deadline right?

tclick: i'm still waiting on my notification as well. i hope we both get in!

My notification took about 5 weeks after applied and 4 weeks after they received all my info. And yes, I applied way after the priority deadline on April 1st.

xxjieunxx are you applying from within rutgers? and if so what was your GPA

no, i'm applying from out of state =\ my gpa is 3.8

oh thats still very good i'm in state and i have a 3.722

I have already been accepted, but this is more of a major question. On the SAS website they have their full list of majors but I see that Economics is not in the Business School? Anybody know more about this?

All it says that economics requires departmental approval. Not sure how they handle transfer students. I know for the actual Business School I probably won't get accepted as I didn't take Statistics yet

Economics and Statistics are not part of the business program. They're part of SAS. You need them as prerequisites to get into the bus program. If you want to major in economics, you would stay in SAS. You probably need a certain GPA to be an economics major. If your GPA is good and you want to major in economics , you should get the departmental approval. I want to go to the bus program and I believe they want a 3.4 GPA. Good luck.

Ron

to apply to any of the four majors in the business school you must have over a 3.00 GPA just to apply. Some majors are more competitive and require a higher GPA such as finance and accounting. Economics is not included in the business school and to apply to the business school Stat I and intro to Micro and intro to marco economics are a few of the prereqs which are generally completed by the end of sophmore year.
