i just realized i'm going to call them in the am about housing cause i mean i really do not want to throw away 200$ if i won't get housing at all i mean i know they're pretty good with it but in the am i'm going to look into it more

Make your housing application immediately. If it evolves that there is insufficient space, the deposit would be refunded to you. There is room right now, but it will be a very tight year for housing because of high yield and enrollment.

rutgers has housing for transfers..they leave a certain amount of space available for transfer student.

hey guys, are going to take the placement testing? it is that there is placement testing for math and English this Saturday and next Saturday.

i dont even know if i ahve to take placement testing...do they let you know if you do ? cause i already took two years of a writing class that was equal to expository writing I and II.. and im in college level math.. so idunno

i called and they told that if it says it on your enrollment page then you have too....idk?

i read somewhere that if we have to take a placement exam we will be notified. hm idk

I doubt most transfers have to take placement testing.

ok guys if i do the housing but later on choose to back out is that possible?

yeah but you just lose ur deposit

let's party.

Anyone who is transferring and whats to talk or make friends before school feel free to shoot me a pm and ill give you my Facebook.

guys when do we pick classes?

Probably in the summer during orientation, just like the freshmen.

I still have not received a response from Rutgers, I applied a little more than three weeks ago. Now that they're using rolling application (since I applied after the priority deadline) I'm wondering how long it'll take.

How long do you guys think it'll take them to get back to me?

i think the altest reply date is may 1st right?

I think May 1st is the latest people who applied before the priority date can enroll into Rutgers. I could be mistaken though.

I had a friend that applied in late June 07 for Fall 07 and was admitted so I think there's some flexibility since Rutgers isn't under any time constraint.

Maybe they'll decide when they see how much room is left after the people who applied before the priority date have enrolled.

If I don't have a decision by Friday I'm going to call. My friend who applied in late June 07 got a response within three weeks, so I guess I'll just have to wait.

Hey, I applied late (way past priority deadline) and Rutgers received all of my information on 4/22/08. It is now the 1st and I still have In Process to all three schools at Rutgers of which I applied to. Is this normal or do I have no chance of getting in? I am a transfer student, I wasn't thinking about going until the Spring but since my friend applied and got in I thought why not just apply and give it a shot.

I would say it's normal as you applied really late. It's on rolling basis now so it may take some time before they get to you...depending on how many people applied before you. But, you can always call them and find out if everything is ok...

whazzup1230, when did your friend apply?

Also, I applied on April 1st and they got all my information on April 7th and mine is still "In Progress." I called them yesterday and they informed me that they could not give me an estimate of when they would get to my application and that I would just need to be patient.

I keep telling this story but I'll tell it again for your information and to maybe give you some hope. I have a friend that applied in late June 07 for Fall 07 for SAS New Brunswick and got in so it's definitely possible.
