oh ok i just got it lol, anyone know when we find out about housing contracts after we apply?

i added ucsb to my fafsa financial aid last year when i applied for winter but didn't get in, since i'm planning on taking summer, when i log into my account for financial aid it said my fafsa was received in February of 07 and the the tab after that doesn't display anything, or do i need to wait since i just activated my umail? although i did see my unofficial award letter for the amount that i would get for fall even before i signed my SIR, i read you have to wait until the end of may to see our offer? do you register for classes if you go on the 16th or something?

adam- They don't issue housing contracts for fall until after June 1st, the deadline, since housing isnt first come first serve. After you are issued a contract, you may request the type of residence hall, etc you want.

dragondawg- Did you try filling out the summer finaid application online through the summer finaid aid login? I received my summer aid award a few weeks ago, after I added ucsb to 07-08 fafsa, but I got 0 rewards haha.

i added the school code last year in February and when i log in to the financial aid site it says they received it and pretty much nothing else unless i'm missing something and have to fill out another form? or do i have to wait since i just submitted my sir and got my email to login

so summer housing is first come first serve

thats what i read too

would really like to dorm for the summer, even if its san mig, however not sure the 1500 price difference is worth it, hope the university apartments have internet.

has anyone gotten e-mail's back from their advisors about their transcripts?

my advisor got my transcript but all they said was see you on the 16th, don't think i'm going though

I didn't get the email from my advisor yet either. If I don't get a confirmation the week of the 16th, ill call to follow up.

well i sent unofficial ones to my advisor personally to their office address, not sure if you're talking about official ones that you sent to the school.

I got the same call from someone at the admissions office confirming that they had received my summer transitions package and that I was showing up on the 16th. My email only requested unofficial transcripts for the review with the councilor. I thought the only time you needed to send the official transcripts was after you got your final grades for spring.

yeah I was just talking about the unofficial ones I thought they would call/e-mail about the transcripts but maybe not

What the? I logged into GOLD and every single class that I plan to take this summer says that it's full.

that dude: i feel your pain.... i think we all do

The econ writing classes are still available, but when I enrolled there were only about 7 slots left. Other wise you would have to go for the ss writing course that has about 12 slots. I'm set up for session A right now, but I'm looking for 1 more class for session B.

I haven't seen anything for B available. I wonder if they release registration for those classes later.

yeah i just did what you did and faxed my transcripts to the writing/math dept's so hopefully this will all work out

I am attending summer transitions session B. I'm gonna stay in Santa Ynez. I e-mailed my counselor but never heard back! that was almost a week ago! Maybe I should just call. . . that will really suck if all the classes will be filled up.

^go on assist and figure out which classes you need to declare for your major and register yourself for classes..they might not be there in a few weeks

but it won't let me actually add the classes the I need. I was told what classes I need to take to be full status major and when I try to add them it says I didn't fulfill the appropriate prerequisites or something (which I did). Now I'm all stressed! I'm calling tomorrow for sure! haha
