<p>Hi! Now I am studying at USC. This summer, I plan on taking summer courses at NYU. However, I just have a quick question. Does NYU offer scholarships for visiting students? If so, is it competitive? Is it merit-based or need-based? </p>
<p>I don't plan on asking the FA office at my own school for help since I'm sure that if I take money from them for this summer, they are going to reduce my FA award for next year. </p>

<p>I believe you are able to apply, but it’s unlikely you’re going to see any dollar considering how stingy they are with our own students.</p>

<p>The pre-college program is a bit different though, you haven’t committed to any school so you’re someone they want to influence positively, they want to appear attractive as a school to you. Afterwards though, when you’re already somewhere else, it’s all about money. You don’t belong to NYU, so you’re even lower on their priority than we are, both of which are pretty low. =/</p>
