This might sound like a strange question, but I'm writing a script where one of the characters gets a rejection letter from Yale Law at the very end of December. Could that be possible? Or when would they get their acceptance/rejection letters? Thanks for any info. :)

From their Website: “We accept applications from late September through February 15, and most applicants will receive a final response by the end of April.”

Ah, okay. Thanks! But if someone applied in September, could they receive their letter in December? Or is April the only month where people receive a reply?

you could use a cheesy time-dilation plot-device :p

TV shows and movies say something impossible every time college admissions is mentioned. Say he applied early decision, or just pretend as if December is the normal response time.

@ Raphael: Haha, good idea, but unfortunately it wouldn’t work so well with my scene. :P

@ lockn: I’m considering just making it unrealistic that way, but…the thing is, the scene is for a Screenwriting program at a college I’m trying to get into, so the inaccuracy about college admissions might disturb them. :(
