Anybody else still waiting?

It has been almost 7 weeks since I sent in my application and they received everything. I guess I'm just impatient and it hasn't been too too long. I just expected a much quicker decision I guess

I submitted my application August 1st, however I had them wait for my Oct SAT scores, so hopefully they will get back soon. And what are your stats? I heard they only accept kids with the super high stats 1st (3.7. above and above 1200 SAT)

Don’t give up hope. UCF has a rolling decision policy and usually only the very best applicants are offered admission within a few weeks and generally these applicants never attend UCF anyways. Most applicants have about a two to three month processing time.
If anyone is on the fence with their submitted SAT / ACT scores, UCF will permit you to resubmit any improved SAT / ACT scores and they will take the improve scores into consideration when making a decision. Good Luck !
To OP-
You may want to “verify” that everything has been submitted and accepted. I have heard of several horror stories when kids “thought” that they submitted everything on time only to find out months latter that the school never received their transcripts or SAT scores.

I’ve been waiting for about four months and I’m applying for summer 2013.

Don’t give up  Give them a call to kinda make sure they have everything. Then, nothing you can do! Stay optimistic!

Just wanted to shed some light for you guys. I know the wait it almost impossible to deal with. You’re all checking your application status every free chance you get, and are both a combination of depressed but relieved when you see it hasn’t changed. Depressed, because you just want an answer. Relieved, because it doesn’t say, ‘We’re sorry to inform you…’. Just know that, when UCF says, ‘You should hear a reply within six weeks’ hardly ever is that actually accurate. I applied in early September (That’s when I had everything in) and did not find out of my acceptance until February. It takes a LONG time, longer then they let be known. All I’m saying is, don’t be distraught if you don’t find out by Christmas, because many of you may not. But also keep hope because, UF decisions are coming right around the corner soon. That’s when those ‘power house’ students who applied to UCF, and were accepted within a week, see if they gained admission into UF. For those that did, many of them may or may not decline their acceptance into UCF, which opens up spots for you guys! Not all will switch over, but there’s always a good amount that do. Just remember to keep your grades up, you guys! You never know if you’ll be deffered, and if you are, you NEED to have good grades-All A’s and B’s, a C is really pushing it. I know waiting is tough-it was the worst part about the process-but you’ll get a decision eventually. At least keep that on your mind, that it WILL come. Don’t worry about it, and don’t check your account too often. Focus on school, sports, friends, work, family, etc. Next thing you know, your status will be updated. I wish you all the best of luck. You’re all excellent students, and I’m excited that UCF has such great students to choose our next incoming freshmen class! Go Knights!:)

Oh wow I knew after a month!

The wait is driving me crazy!

Thanks, I actually was accepted Tuesday afternoon for Fall 2013. Paid the enrollment fee, and applied for housing (which opened up today FYI!) officially a Knight! Good luck everyone else!

Congratulations

Congrats! I honestly think that it depends on your scores. I was accepted after 2.5 weeks, because I have pretty high scores/GPA. Sometimes though, it does take longer to hear back.

I heard back a couple weeks ago, thanks everyone!

Did you get accepted?

I’ve been waiting for about a month now and I swear it feels like forever. Many people at my school are getting accepted like a week after they applied so it doesn’t make me feel any better.

Read @WRITEfluidity’s posting at the top. It made me really relax! Admissions is just a game, and it’s annoying, but it is what it is.
